Abstract

1,271,625. Ship's loading ramps; gangways. ASSOCIATED CARGO GEAR A.B. 4 Nov., 1970 [11 Nov., 1969], No. 52399/70. Headings B7A, B7J and B7S. A stern-mounted ship's loading ramp comprises wheel track sections 15, 16, hinged at 12, 17, and a pair of side beams 14 secured to and extending beyond section 15, and arranged to bear on section 16 intermediate its ends, through hydraulically adjustable members 21, when the ramp has been extended by winches 23, 24 and cables 25, 26. The free end of section 16 is pivoted at 19 to a further, self-adjusting, dock engaging track section 18. The ramp is provided with widened portions A, B to facilitate the passage of vehicles over its ends.
