A car transporter has fixed lower and upper decks 1 and 3 which are loaded by moving the rear deck 10 about its pivots on the brackets 9 between the positions " X " and " Y " by hydraulic or other power. A trailer 13 for use with the transporter has detachable ramps 15, 16. The rear extension 5 of the upper deck 3 is pivoted upwardly to facilitate loading the lower deck.
