Abstract

1,269,550. Loudspeakers. EKDAHL & OLOFSSON HANDELSBOLAG. 30 Dec., 1969 [15 Aug., 1968], No. 63278/69. Headings H4J and H4X. An airtight loudspeaker cabinet is in crosssection (Fig. 3) a regular polygon having at least 6 corners. A bass unit 5 is mounted at one cabinet end wall while at least three treble units 6 (Fig. 4) are mounted in adjoining side walls adjacent the bass unit 5. The angle between the normals to the most remote side walls in which treble units 6 are mounted is at most 120 degrees. A cross-over network is provided. The cabinet rearwardly of the bass unit is preferably at least twice the diameter of the bass unit 5. The angle of radiation of the treble units is substantially 135 degrees within 6 db.
