Abstract

1,269,212. Spray-producers. JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd. 1 July, 1969 [9 July, 1968], No. 32736/68. Heading B2F. [Also in Division F4] A fan-shaped liquid spray, e.g. in burners for gas turbine engines, is produced by a nozzle formed from two transverse diametral grooves 12 and 13, Figs. 1 and 2, and a disc 14 positioned such that both ends of the internal groove 12 communicate with the interior of the conduit 10. Atomisation of the liquid is assisted by the imposition of a similar flat fan-shaped spray of air generated by nozzles 18 within an air gallery 16, Fig. 3.
