[Also in Division F4] In a liquid atomising device, particularly for use in the burners of gas turbine engines, the blades of an air swirler 17, Fig. 1, in air conduit 12 are provided with passages 18 adjacent the trailing edge and one or more (e.g. three) transverse outlet holes 19, Figs. 2 and 3, and liquid to be atomised is delivered from a supply passage 13 into the swirling air stream by way of the passages 18 and holes 19. The holes open on to the face of the associated blade which is, in use, at high pressure.
