Abstract

1,268,616. Printing webs. STORK AMSTERDAM N.V. 7 Aug., 1970 [15 Aug., 1969], No. 38226/70. Heading D1L. [Also in Division B6] Web 4 is printed on by cylindrical screen 2 and offset cylinder 3, which may itself be a screen and may apply a substance to the web 4. Two printing units, each comprising a cylindrical screen and an offset cylinder 3, may be arranged to cooperate in perfecting printing of the web 4. The cylinders 3 may be cleaned by brushes 11, by internal blowers, by scrapers or by vacuum means. Where the cylinder 3 are screens, supporting rollers 7 or counter squeegees may be provided to take up thrust exerted by the screens 2.
