[Also in Divisions F1 and G1] In a centrifugal pump (see Division F1), the pump shaft 16 is supported on a bearing 74, 84, the portion 84 of which is formed in a sleeve 76 which, by virtue of its threaded connection with a sleeve 78, can be adjusted to vary the clearance between the pump impeller 14 and the upper end of sleeve 78.
