1,267,415. Offset printing on curved surfaces. O.M.S.O. S.r.L. 9 May, 1969 [19 June, 1968], No. 23834/69. Heading B6C. In a multi-colour offset printing machine for printing the curved surfaces of cans 9 delivered to the machine on rotary feeders 8, four plate cylinders 1 are used to image each of five offset surfaces 2 carried on a rotary cylinder 3 the multi-coloured impression on each being then transferred to one of two intermediary offset cylinders 6 for transfer to a can 9. The dimensions and the operative speeds of the cylinders 1, 3, 6 and 8 are so arranged that alternate surfaces 2 impress each surface 7 on the associated cylinder 6.
