Abstract
1,266,525. Valves. C. URBAN. 6 May, 1969 [17 May, 1968], No. 23059/69. Heading F2V. A tap comprises a tap body 1 which is formed with two parallel longitudinal ducts 2, 6, wherein the duct 6 is closed at both ends and is permanently in communication with the fluid outlet slot 7, while the duct 2 is closed at one end and has a fluid inlet 3, a transverse duct 5, and a closure member 14 provided at the other end of duct 2, the closure member 14 comprising a control rod which projects outside the tap body with a handle 13 attached thereto. Preferably the member 1 has two coaxial ducts 2<SP>1</SP>, 2 for hot and cold water inlets respectively and transverse ducts 5<SP>1</SP>, 5 communicating to the common bore 6. An anti-splash device 18 made of foam plastics is provided in the bore 6. The single slot can be replaced by multiple nozzles each having individual closure members.
