Abstract
1302710 Rinsing body cavities W KLEINER 10 March 1970 [11 March 1969] 11419/70 Heading A5R [Also in Divisions F2 and Bl] A device for rinsing body cavities comprises a container 6 for a medicament, a tube assembly 2 for connection to a water tap passing through the container and adapted to extract fluid therefrom by means of a venturi constriction 11 and nozzle 12, and a manually operable, 2-position valve 22 whereby the flow from tube 2 is either conducted through the tube 29 to a suitable applicator (see Division B2), or to an outlet 26. The amount of liquid drawn through nozzle 12 may be regulated at 14 and the valve 22 is placed in a bore 20 transverse to the tube 2 and has two bores 23, 24, coaxial with tube 2 which may be selectively engaged therewith by sliding. In a modification, Fig. 7, (not shown) the container (6a) is generally spherical and the venturi constriction (11a) is downstream of the valve assembly 21a. A one-way valve may be present in the nozzle 12a. The valve assembly is spring- biassed at 49a in one of the 2 positions and is of a modified form. Further modifications of the valve assembly are disclosed (see Division F2).
