1,263,792. Vinylidene chloride polymer composition. ASSOCIATED LEAD MFG. Ltd., and A. G. WALKER. 9 June, 1970 [24 July, 1969], No. 37340/69. Heading C3P. [Also in Division D1] A flame-retardant composition for textile fabric or yarn comprises an aqueous dispersion of a vinylidene chloride polymer or copolymer or mixture thereof with another resin, but containing at least 50% by wt. of vinylidene chloride, 5-30% based on the weight of the dispersion of antimony oxide, 5-20% of a citric or sebacic ester plasticizer, an emulsifying agent and an emulsifying stabilizer. Exemplified compositions contain vinylidene chloride/ acrylate (70/30) copolymer, antimony oxide, dibutyl sebacate or tributyl citrate, alkylated phenol-polyalkyl ether or polyoxyethylene sorbitan mono-oleate and sorbitan mono-oleate and sodium carboxymethyl cellulose which are applied to cotton fabric.
