Abstract
1,263,304. Coating by evaporation. CENTRE NATIONAL DE RECHERCHES METALLURGIQUES and COCKERILL-OUGREE PROVIDENCE S.A. May 20, 1969 [May 21, 1968; May 22, 1968; June 12, 1968], No.25574/69. Heading C7F. Steel is coated with Cr, Ni, Co, Mo, Cd, Al, Cu or Fe by evaporation, and then annealed at 500 to 1000‹C. in e.g. dry hydrogen. The coating may be applied in layers e.g. a coating of Al may be coated with a Cr-Ni alloy. The substrate is preheated to e.g. 350 to 500‹C.
