Abstract

126,041. Farot, L. Nov. 10, 1916. Projectile fuses.-Consists of a fuse for a grenade in which the firing-pin is normally held at " safe " by means of a member which, when the grenade is discharged, is moved to an inoperative position by the action of a weight adapted to slide along a cord or the like until it strikes a stop. In the construction shown, a spring-pressed firing- pin G is held cocked by two pivoted hooks E, between the tails of which is interposed a member F which is slidable on a stem D<1> and has a cord K attached. When the grenade is thrown, an annular weight J slides along the cord, strikes a stop K' at the end, and withdraws the member F so as to free the hooks E and thereby release the firing-pin.
