Abstract

1,259,258. Dry shavers. CARINTHIA ELEKTROGERATE G.m.b.H. 6 Oct., 1970 [9 Oct., 1969], No. 47530/70. Heading B4B. A dry shaver comprises a cutter head 2 removably mounted on a body 1, the cutter head including a cutter 5 mounted in a carrier 4 which is pivoted on a frame 3, and a latch serving to hold the carrier in operating position on the frame and which is releasable only by a hand-operable member which is inaccessible while the cutter head is in its operating position. The latch is in the form of a bar 16 having ends 17, 18 which engage with slots 19, 20 in the cutter carrier 4. The latch is disengaged by moving an operating member 24 against a spring 14. In the operating position shown in Fig. 1, the head is held in the body 1 by springs 12, the operating member 24 then being inaccessible. In modifications, the latch may comprise two spring-loaded pins (25, 26), Fig. 4 (not shown), engaging with holes (29, 30) formed in the carrier 4, or by a pin (35), Fig. 5 (not shown), mounted on a leaf spring (34) engaging with a hole (37) in the frame 3.
