Abstract

1,258,965. Impact pulverizers. HAZEMAG HARTZERKLEINERUNGS - UND ZEMENT - MASCHINENBAU. G.m.b.H. 11 March, 1969 [13 March, 1968], No. 12887/69. Heading B2A. An impact pulverizer for comminuting refuse comprises a casing 1, Fig. 1, a rotor 2 bearing spaced apart fixed elements 3 which impel material against a surface, spaced-apart projections 8 provided within the casing and arranged so that the elements 3 in the rotor pass between the projections or teeth 8 when the rotor is operated. The surface against which material can be impelled is formed by an adjustable plate 6 bearing the spaced apart teeth 8 provided on a toothed bar 7 which extends parallel to the rotor axis. A second impact plate 12 similarly equipped with a toothed bar 7 having teeth 11 may be provided to increase the crushing action of the rotor. The teeth 11 have a saw-tooth profile extending at least 150 in the direction of rotation of the rotor. The teeth 8 may similarly be of sawtooth profile.
