Abstract

1502166 Impact pulverizers PENNSYLVANIA CRUSHER CORP 12 May 1975 [13 May 1974] 19938/75 Heading B2A An impact pulverizer 10 which may be a beater mill Fig. 1 or hammer mill Fig. 3 (not shown) or a pin mill Fig. 2 (not shown) has a rotor 16 in a casing which has a curved impact surface 24 Fig. 1 and a discharge chute 26 which includes a direction changing and energy absorbing member 32. The chute may include two outlets 34a, 34b Fig. 4 for discharging fines and coarse material on to separate conveyor belts 36a, 36b. The lower wall surface of the chute may be an insolute curve and may be in one piece or formed by separate plates as in Fig. 5B. Circulation through the crusher may be fan assisted, either by an external blower or by blades on the rotor.
