Abstract
1,257,455. Watches. DAINI SEIKOSHA K. K. April 10, 1970 [April 10, 1969], No.17198/70. Heading G3T. In a chronograph having a self-winding mechanism 2 with an oscillating weight 1, a clutch ring 6 provides a frictional drive from a fourth wheel 10 of watch movement 4 to a spring 7. The fourth wheel 10 rotates freely on a seconds arbor 11 to which the spring 7 is fixed. To stop the seconds hand, a crown or button is operated to cause a member 5 to raise the ring 6 from the surface of the wheel 10 against the spring 7. To return the seconds hand to its zero position, further operation of the same, or an additional, crown or button causes a cam-driver 9 to move a heartshaped cam 8, without rotation of the wheel 10.
