Abstract

125,220. Grant, J. C. April 11, 1918. Concrete ships.-Reinforced-concrete vessels of the kind having widely spaced transverse frames and longitudinal beams are formed with hollow walls by fitting panels 4 in the spaces formed by the transverse frames 1 and longitudinal beams 7. A zigzag strengthening member 2 is provided between the panels, and wire netting or like reinforcement 5 covered by a layer of cement or concrete 6 may be placed on one or both sides, as shown.
