Concrete vessels.-A reinforced-concrete ship is constructed with a hollow longitudinal concrete girder-like bottom a., upon which longitudinal lattice-girder sides b of reinforced concrete are erected. An outer skin c, inner bottom, and deck d of reinforced concrete enclose the whole structure. Transverse bulkheads and inner longitudinal lattice girders also are fitted, together with ties and struts where necessary.
