The method claimed in the parent Specification, in which a fabric sheet or web is partially embedded in the surface of a blown moulded article during the blowing process in order to increase the article's receptiveness to labels or printing ink, is modified in that an outer decorative skin is applied to the fabric before moulding. In this way the method may be used purely for decorative purposes, the subsequent attachment of a label or printing being omitted. The skin may cover all or part of the article, may be colour printed or plain, and may be made from thermoplastic or thermosetting resin, wood, metal, textile material or leather. In a described embodiment, two Marley tiles glued to open mesh hessian were placed in each half of a rectangular blow mould, and an article having two Marley tiles carried on two of its major faces was produced by blowing a polythene tube introduced into the mould.
