Abstract

A sheet of decorative material is adhered in a synthetic resin mould (pref. polystyrene, polypropylene, polyethylene) in the region corresponding to the area to be decorated. During the moulding process the sheet becomes more strongly attached to the moulded part than to the mould so that it takes the shape of and becomes adhered to the moulded part. The decorative sheet is metal foil dyed or printed with polyurethane or other dyes.
