Abstract

1,247,944. Balanced flues. HALLERMEURER-WERKE A.G. 4 Feb., 1969 [16 Feb., 1968], No. 5977/69. Heading F4J. A balanced flue device 1 comprises a fresh air tube 2, a flue gas tube 3 disposed in the upper section of the fresh air tube, a rectangular frame 4 located at the mouths of the tubes and a cover 5. The frame 4 is provided with a transversely extending wind guide plate 15 which is directed obliquely outwardly and upwardly covering part of the flue gas tube. At its lower edge the plate 15 is provided with a rain water outlet 7. The front surface of the cover 5 is provided with parallel slots 11 for the entry of combustion air and the outlet of flue gases. Further slots are also disposed in the two side walls and in the top wall 13 of the cover (see Fig. 3). The back of the front wall of the cover is provided with two inclined air guide plates 16 and 17, said plates having the effect that air flowing into the cover from the front or from the sides is deflected into the air tube 2.
