Abstract

1,244,498. Adjusting and securing frames in apertures. LE LAMINAGE A FROID S.A. 14 Nov., 1968 [14 Nov., 1967], No. 54137/68. Heading E1J. [Also in Division F2] A window or other frame 1 is secured in an aperture in a wall 2 and adjusted therein by a plurality of screw threaded plugs 4 arranged in respective holes in the frame members each plug 4 being screwed into a tapped hole in the frame member itself or in a tapped liner 3 secured in the frame member by screwing, knurling or adhesive. &c, the plug 4 being screwed home to bear against the wall 2 and being secured in position by a screw, nail or the like, passing through the axial bore 5 and is fastened in the wall, as through the medium of a packing or peg. A cover plug 13 or cap is screwed into the mouth of the hole or liner 3. A template 12 may be secured to the frame member 1 by means of the bolt or cover plug 13 which is provided with a bore 14 for the passage of a screw driver &c to adjust the plug 4 before securing the plug 14 in position.
