Abstract

1,244,356. Multi-storey building. R. S. BENNETT. 25 Oct., 1968 [27 Oct., 1967], No. 50754/68; Heading E1A. A column comprises a first plurality of structural elements 11 on top of a second plurality of structural elements 12 being interconnected by a block 17 which is recessed in opposed faces 16 and 18 (not shown). The structural elements may be the corners of a room unit 32 (Fig. 2) which are rectangular tubes 13 (Fig. 1c) and may have rods 14 running therethrough and through the blocks 17. The whole column may be embedded in a block 17 in the ground. The room units may have corrugated wall panels 34 which are treated with plastics foam as insulation. (For Figures see next page)
