Abstract

1,002,302. Walls of buildings; building panels. E. BATLEY Ltd. Dec. 15, 1961 [Dec. 6, 1960], No. 41882/60. Headings E1B and E1V. The wall of a building comprises interfitted panels 1 and posts 2 which are secured together by lugs or plates 5 bolted to the posts and engaging the panels. As particularly described, and for a concrete garage, the lugs 5 engage recesses 12 in the panels and the panels engage grooves 3 in the posts, or alternatively ribs on the posts engage grooves in the panels. One or both sides 14 of the panel edge may be bevelled and the recesses 12 have a clearance with the lugs to allow adjustment of the panels. A corresponding corner construction is described.
