Abstract

1,242,500. Ventilating broiler houses. SVENSKA FLAKTFABRIKEN A.B. 10 Nov., 1969 [12 Nov., 1968], No. 54948/69. Heading F2P. [Also in Division F4] An air distribution device for an animal house or greenhouse comprises plastics hoses 14 and 15, hose 14 being mounted within hose 15, and the hoses having air outflow openings 14a, 15a respectively, such that openings 14a both individually and totally have an outflow area less than openings 15a. The end 14c of hose 14 is closed and the ends of hose 15 are closed or apertured. Threads 5a and 5d support hose 14, and hose 15 is supported by the air cushion formed in the annular space between the hoses. The outlet openings 14a, 15a are formed in the upper and side portions of the hoses. In the form shown, the hose 15 extends beyond the end 14c of hose 14 and its end 15c comprises a member 5e supported by thread 5a. An air inlet arrangement for the device comprises a fresh air inlet 9a with a heating or cooling heat exchanger 11, a recirculation air inlet 12, an air mixing damper 8a, a fan 7a and fixed or adjustable air straightening vanes 13a. An air outlet 3a is controlled by a valve 10.
