Abstract

1,240,984. Terminal blocks. KLIPPON ELECTRICALS Ltd. 27 Jan., 1970 [23 Sept., 1969], No. 3985/70. Heading H2E. In a terminal block for earthing purposes comprising an insulating housing 1 with spring clip 2 for fixing to a support rail 3, a screw-clamping frame 4 housed in a projecting part 8 of the block is provided to contact a bus-bar 5 and to make electrical connection via bars 9, 11 to a terminal 6 for an outgoing earthing conductor 7. The frame 4 is of U-shaped bent metal with limbs (12a, 12b, Fig. 3, not shown) which grip a guide rib (13) in the housing 1 and in which is defined a mouth opening 15 with a projection 18 to accommodate and retain the bus-bar. The frame 4 is connected to the bar 9 by a rivet 10.
