973,878. Mechanical switches without quick action; fusible cut-outs. BUCHANAN ELECTRICAL PRODUCTS CORPORATION. May 10, 1962 [May 31, 1961], No. 18075/62. Headings H2B and H2G. A fuse-switch includes a pair of spring contact clips 54, 94, with strap connections 52, 92, to terminal posts 50, 90, mounted on the base surface of an L-shaped insulating housing member 10, 12, and an insulating movable carrier 116 encircles the central portion of a cartridge fuse 78 and is pivotally mounted in clip 94 for movement of the terminal contact portion 76 of fuse 78 into and out of engagement with the spring jaws of the clip 54 to make and break the circuit between the terminal posts 50, 90. Carrier 116 has a finger-piece 128 and has pins 112 extending into slots 110 in the base portion of clip 94 to provide the pivotal mounting for the carrier. Two or more L-shaped housing members 10, 12, are assembled to form a terminal block unit, and an end plate 34 covers the exposed side of the unit.
