Abstract

747,630. Binding-posts; terminal boards. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and CASHMORE, P. J. June 25, 1954 [July 27, 1953], No. 20792/53. Class 38 (1). U-shaped terminals 2 (Fig. 6) for a terminal block, particularly for use in chokes, are each formed of metal strip and comprise a screw 11 which clamps a wire in a channel 15 formed on the lower limb of the terminal, the terminal being mounted in apertures 3 in the insulating block 1 and retained therein by engagement of the side edges and free ends of their upper limbs 10 with recesses 12, 13, respectively, in the block. Soldering tags 8 project through holes 9 in the block. A flange 3 on the block engages the wall around an aperture in a choke casing and impressed against it by engagement of a rib 4 with the choke. The limb carrying the screw 11 may be ribbed longitudinally.
