Abstract

1,240,642. Ventilators. W. G. BROWN. 15 July, 1968 [7 July, 1967], No. 31520/67. Heading F4V. [Also in Division H5] A convector heater 10, in a door comprising a framework 12 mounting opposed panels 11, heats cool air entrained by a duct 13 from the bottom of the door and the heated air is exhausted via a duct 19 through an opening 23 near the top of the door. The inside faces of the panels 11 are covered with aluminium foil or a metallic based spray. An automatic thermostatic control (not shown) is provided to control the temperature in the room. The heater 10 includes an electrically heated plate 25, in a metal trunking 26, controlled by a switch 28 with an indicator light 29. The metal parts of the heater are earthed. A metal trunking 22 in duct 19 minimizes loss of heat by radiation from the heated air.
