Abstract
The house to be heated has the side exposed to the sun constructed with a glass solar radiation collecting wall (2) with an air space (1) behind it and heavy thermal storage masonry (3) behind this. The air heated in the internal passage (1) by conduction from the thermal storage masonry (3) rises by natural convection within the space and is distributed by passages (5, 7) in the roof space of the house to the various habitable rooms (10, 12). It returns to the space through openings (14) in internal walls and an opening (4) in the base of the heating space (1). Circulation is assited by a fan in a box (16) in the main distribution duct (6) from which individual ducts (7) branch to the various rooms.
