Abstract

The collector has several rectangular panels (1) mounted in parallel. Each panel has a rectangular frame insulated on five sides, a cover on the top being transparent to solar radiation and forming a channel through which air is drawn from outside (7). The air is drawn through all the panels in parallel by a common fan (9) and delivered to a duct (10) from which it flows to provide warm air heating to a habitable room. The end part of each panel in the direction of flow is filled with plastics or ceramic rings which increase the heat transfer to the air.
