Abstract
875,961. Unit apparatus. B.T.U. (MANUFACTURERS) Ltd. Feb. 24, 1958 [Feb. 25, 1957], No. 6309/57. Class 137 [Also in Groups XIII and XXVIII] Air is blown by a fan 8 over heat excahanger tubes 1 mounted in ducting 11, a heating or cooling medium for the air being forced through the tubes 1 by a pump 6 driven by a motor 9 which also drives the air fan, the air passing over the pump 6 and motor 9 before flowing over the heat exchanger tubes. The ducting 11 may be made of fibreglass and to reduce noise a perforated portion of the ducting is surrounded by a fibreglass blanket 18 in turn surrounded by a thin plastic sheet 19 held in position by two metal bands 20, 21.
