Abstract

1,240,152. Magnetic endless conveyers. MAGNELIFT CO. Ltd. 25 Sept., 1968 [28 Sept., 1967], No. 45474/68. Heading B8A. In an endless elevator belt 10 in which articles (not shown) are retained on the belt by a magnetic field obtained from magnets 33, 33, disposed between the runs of the belt, intensifiers 38 of a ferro-magnetic material are provided on the surface of the belt so as to increase the flux density. Like poles of the magnets are connected by steel strips 35. The belt 10 consists of a stainless steel wire mesh carried by rollers 37.
