Abstract
1,240,036. Current transformers. FUJI DENKI SEIZO K.K. 17 Jan., 1969 [20 Jan., 1968; 31 Jan., 1968], No. 22059/70. Divided out of 1,240,035. Heading H1T. [Also in Division H2] In a protective arrangement (see Division H2) a current transformer 50 has a permanent magnet 51, a yoke 52 and a secondary winding 53 around the yoke 52. The secondary winding 53 produces an output pulse when the direct current I in the primary conductor 3b changes in such a direction as to produce a flux to nullify the flux due to the permanent magnet 51. Reference is made to the use of two such parallel connected transformers to enable an output to be obtained for both current directions or for use in an A.C. circuit. The yoke may be of "square-loop" material and have an air gap 55.
