Abstract

920,156. Protective cut-out arrangements. SIEMENS-SCHTCKERTWERKE A.G. Feb. 20, 1961 [Feb. 19, 1960], No. 6236/61. Class 38 (5). A protective arrangement includes a base I on which is mounted a core-balance transformer 4 having two primary windings which carry the load current in opposite directions, one between terminals 6, 8 and one between terminals 7, 9. The secondary winding is connected to an operating coil 10 of a magnetic member 5 which is also operable on heavy overload due to the flux produced in the windings between terminals 7, 9. The trip member 5 which may be biased by remanent or permanent magnetism, releases a latch on which contacts are mounted.
