Plants, supporting and training. - In a metal clip or fastening for use in training or supporting plants, comprising a self-closing split collar or socket a, Fig. 1, the halves of which are continued rearwardly in contact with one another and joined together at the end, the bridge portion c thus formed is opened out to form a closed socket or loop d to embrace a supporting stem c, or is bent at right-angles, as shown in Fig. 4, for fastening to a support. The loop d is adjustable on the support c. The bent part g, Fig. 4, is fastened to a support by a single nail about which it may be turned to adjust the inclination of the socket.
