Abstract

1,231,241. Drawer-and-shell boxes. PERMAFILE Ltd. 17 Jan., 1969 [26 Jan., 1968], No. 4239/68. Heading B8P. [Also in Division A4] A filing unit or box comprises a box-like shell 1 and a drawer la both made of cardboard or the like, the shell 1 having a closed rear end and an open front end to slidably receive the drawer and all sides of the shell 1 being provided at the open end with flaps 13, 14 which are folded into the shell 1 over a cardboard liner 29 fitted within the shell 1 to reinforce its sides. The shell 1 is formed from a folded blank (Fig. 2) with interlocking flaps (7-10) together defining the closed end, the free edges of two adjacent sides 2, 5 being joined by adhesive tape 30. The drawer la is formed from a folded blank (Fig. 3) with interlocking tongues and slots; A finger-hold cut-out 27 is provided in the front wall 22 of the drawer.
