Abstract

1,228,166. Delivering measured quantities of granular material. DEE'S INTERNATIONAL S.A. 26 April, 1968 [26 April, 1967], No. 19279/67. Heading B8N. A device for dispensing measured quantities of granular material, such as ground coffee, comprises a housing member 5 adapted by a screw-threaded ring 2, to be secured to a container 16 and a dispensing member 6 having a measuring chamber 17 provided with an opening 12 which, upon rotation of the member, can be aligned with either an inlet 9 or an outlet 11. The housing 5 and dispensing member 6 may be of plastics material and the latter member may be moulded integrally with ring 2. In a modification, the dispensing member may be formed with four vanes (27, Fig. 4) thereby defining with the housing, four measuring chambers.
