Abstract

1347842 Delivering measured quantities of granular material R G HALL 25 May 1971 [27 Feb 1970] 9521/70 Heading B8N [Also in Divisions A1-A3] Fluent material such as ground bait is metered into a cup 4 having an inwardly inclined side 4b and mounted on cap 5 of container 1 by inverting the container from the position as shown so that the material falls to the cap end and then righting the container so that a portion of the material is deflected by platform 6 into cup 4 whence it is cast by grasping the container or handle if provided and swinging it overarm. The platform 6 is slidable to adjust area within the cap and shutter 7 is slidable to alter aperture 3. In a non adjustable version the platform is integral with the cup which is fitted into a slot at one end of the container, the cap being provided at the other end.
