1439006 Spreading devices for fertilizer H VISSERS BV 30 Aug 1973 40777/73 Heading AID For balancing a device comprising a hopper 2 and a driving mechanism 3 adapted to angularly oscillate a distribution pipe 5 by means of a counterpoise 8 with respect to the axis 7 of rotation with an average filling of the hopper 2, the centre of gravity of the counterpoise 8 and the distribution pipe 5 is arranged to lie vertically below the centre of gravity of the assembly comprising the frame 1, hopper 2 and driving mechanism 3. The hopper may be symmetrical. In another embodiment, the counterpoise is adapted to be replaced, or to be adjusted to different distances from the axis 7 for specific materials contained in the hopper 2.
