Abstract

1,193,106. Delivering measured quantities of liquid. UNION CARBIDE CORP. 23 June, 1967 [24 June, 1966], No. 28990/67. Heading B8N. [Also in Division F1] An aerosol metering dispenser valve comprises a valve stem 20 slidable in a housing 10 which is secured in a container by a closure 37, the stem having an opening 24 normally cut off from communication with a measuring chamber 15 by means of a resilient sleeve 25 and an end 21 adapted to co-operate with a resilient flange on the housing defining an opening 36. The stem which may be of plastics material is guided in the housing by means of three or four lands (15, Fig. 2); the portion of the stem below the opening 24 may be solid. The moving parts of the valve may be coated with a synthetic plastics material.
