Abstract

122,749. Hick, E. H., Ferns, W. E. C., and Preston, J. J., (trading as Hick, Ferns, & Co.). April 2, 1918. Moving-container apparatus.-In small domestic churns of the type comprising a closed jar or bottle removably mounted on a rotatable shaft, the jar or bottle is mounted in an oblique position on the shaft. The jar A is held within a cylindrical cage or container which is mounted obliquely on the shaft B and comprises a metal sleeve C and a wire D attached longitudinally to opposite sides thereof aud passing beneath the base of the jar. A metal collar H to encircle the neck of the jar carries wire hooks I to engage terminal eyes J on the wire D. The shaft B is supported in bearings on an upright frame F mounted on a base G, and is provided with a hand-wheel or crank-handle E.
