Abstract

[Also in Division F2] Oil-mist producing apparatus comprises a head 1 having an inlet passage 6 for gas and an outlet passage 7 for the oil mist, an oil container 2 secured to the head, an atomiser nozzle 20 in the head, the nozzle having a main bore 23 supplied with gas from the inlet passage, a chamber 5 formed by a cap secured to the head having a conduit 10, 13 extending into the oil container with non-return valve 12 therein, the atomiser nozzle having a passage 16 communicating with the main bore and with the chamber by conduits 25, means including a swirl chamber 18, connecting the outlet of the atomiser nozzle with the outlet passage, a counter nozzle 17 having its outlet facing the atomiser nozzle, the counter nozzle being connected with the inlet passage via a regulator valve 9. The atomiser nozzle may be maintained in a bore 21 in the head by the member forming the swirl chamber.
