Abstract

1,226,200. Fixing toner images. ADDRESSOGRAPH MULTIGRAPH CORP. Dec. 24, 1968 [Dec. 29, 1967], No.61341/68. Heading G2H. A toner image 13 on a sheet 11 is fixed by unheated pressure members one of which is of resilient material. The pressure members may be a pair of rollers, or a roller or segment and a flat platen. As shown in Fig. 2 a smooth metal roller 15 having a toner rejecting surface co-operates with a resilient roller 17. The roller 17 may be of hard rubber, asbestos or may be a cloth filled or paper filled roller, e.g. filled with cotton, nylon or wool, while the roller 15 may be a chromium plated steel roller.
