Abstract

1440502 Fixing electrostatic toner images ADDRESSOGRAPH MULTIGRAPH CORP 23 Oct 1973 [27 Oct 1972] 49393/73 Heading G2H Toner images 22 on copy sheets 20 are fixed by passage between unheated, spring-biased rollers 28, 34, one of which has a surface of nylon 6 and the other of which has a surface which either is of nylon 6 or is of a material at least as hard as nylon 6. Preferably roller 34 has a nylon 6 sheath 48 and roller 28 is of steel. If a copy sheet 20 has a fold, paper clip or other irregularity which indents the roller 34 the indentation is removed while the roller 34 runs against the steel roller 28 between the passage of copy sheets.
