Abstract
1,251,715. Printing processes. ADDRESSOGRAPH MULTIGRAPH CORP. 7 Jan., 1969 [9 Jan., 1968], No. 1050/69. Addition to 1,230,464. Heading B6C. A travelling cylinder printing machine comprises a platen roller 50 which carries a raised rim 53 either at one end or at its centre as in Fig. 3. This construction ensures that when the roller is traversed along its printing path in the machine of Fig. 1 the resulting printed characters on the copy sheet are not smudged due to excessive pressure between the roller and the printing plate or plates as the rim coacts with marginal spaces of the superimposed plate and copy sheet to provide spacer means.
