Abstract

1,225,835. Valves. GASKELL & CHAMBERS (NON-DRIP MEASURE) Ltd. 22 April, 1969 [2 May, 1968], No. 20897/68. Heading F2V. A pinch valve for controlling delivery of milk from a carton has a pinch bar 6 biased by spring 7 to close tube 9. Upon withdrawal of bar 6 by solenoid 2, 3, a stud 13 engages block 14 on rod 12 to cause the latter to rotate bell-crank 11 to pinch the tube against stop 10, thereby assisting recovery of the tube to its open position. A further block 15 on rod 12 is engaged by stud 13 upon de-energization of the solenoid to return the bell-crank to the inoperative position.
