875,395. Fluid-pressure servomotor-control systems. SULZER FRERES S.A. Sept. 29, 1958 [Oct. 12, 1957], No. 31075/58. Class 135. A fluid-pressure servo-system comprises a valve 2 which controls the supply of fluid to one or other side of a double-acting piston 1 connected by rod 14 and link 16 to the housing 5 of the valve 2 to provide follow-up. A sleeve 17 is located in the housing 5 between the valve lands 3, 4 and is shorter in length than the distance between the lands. The sleeve 17 bears resiliently against the wall of the bore 6. If a movement is given to the valve 2 to open say the port 10, the sleeve 17 will be picked up and will throttle the port 10 so that the movement of the piston 1 is retarded. This throttling action reduces the amount of hunting which takes place before the valve re-centres.
