883,540. Valves. ETABLISSEMENTS NEYRPIC, ATELIERS NEYRET-BEYLIER & PICCARD-PICTET. Oct. 1, 1959 [Oct. 3, 1958], No. 33378/59. Class 135. A pipe valve comprises a closure member 3 connected by two rods 5, 6 to pivots 9, 10 respectively on two valve support members which are located in an axial plane on opposite sides of the axis of the pipe and on opposite sides of the closure member. The rod 6, on the downstream side of the valve is connected to a piston 14 of a jack, the movement of which actuates the valve which opens to the position shown in dotted lines where the closure member lies in a diametral plane of the pipe. The pivots 7, 8 on the closure member may be directly opposite one another, as shown, or they may be off set.
